Welcome to Gilda's Club

The mission of Gilda's Club North Texas is to provide a warm and inviting home-like setting where men, women and children living with cancer — as well as their families and friends — can join with others to build emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care.New Member Meeting

Completely free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club offers support groups, networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a non-residential, home-like setting. If you, a family member, or a friend has cancer, please explore this website and you will discover a program that will give you the social and emotional support that you need.

Gilda’s Club North Texas is the first Texas affiliate, and the 14th nationwide, of Gilda’s Club Worldwide, the international nonprofit organization inspired by the late comedian Gilda Radner, of Saturday Night Live fame. Gilda regained her gift of laughter and feeling of control when she joined with others living with cancer. This is a place where people with cancer and their families and friends learn to live with cancer, and hopefully beyond it. It is their lifeline to strength, hope and guidance. The effects are often life-changing.

Who can join?

Anyone who has been touched by cancer. That includes men, women, and children living with any type of cancer, and their family and friends. Gilda’s Club brings people together who are experiencing similar situations. Whether you’re looking for an understanding ear, a chance to laugh, or an informational resource, Gilda’s Club is the place to learn how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. Gilda’s Club also welcomes long-term cancer survivors and those who have lost someone to cancer.

How do I join?

It’s a very simple process. First, you will attend a New Member Meeting. It’s an introduction to Gilda’s Club, where you will meet with others and learn about the program. We hold New Member Meetings several times each month, and the upcoming meetings are listed below.

Upcoming New Member Meetings

Monday, July 7, 2-3:30 pm
Saturday, July 12, 10-11:30 am
Thursday, July 17, 12-1:30 pm

Tuesday, July 22, 6:30-8pm
Saturday, July 26, 10-11:30 am
Wednesday, July 30, 1-2:30 pm

Please call us at 214-219-8877
to reserve your place at one of these meetings.

After you have learned about the program at the new member meeting, you will schedule an individual meeting with a staff member to discuss your specific needs and develop your Customized Membership Plan (CMP).

How much do I pay for membership?

NOTHING! Gilda’s Club is absolutely FREE of charge.

What about the kids in my life?

When cancer happens, it happens to the whole family. Noogieland, T. Boone Pickens’ Little Dude Ranch, is specifically for children and teens. That includes children diagnosed with cancer, those who have a family member living with cancer, and those who have had a loss in their family.
